On the front of the intake plenum there is a ball socket that is an absolute pain to remove. Here is what the WSM says. I have no idea what this is showing me. I had to resort to unscrewing the actuator arm from this ball socket. You can see from the gouges on this socket, I am using much more effort than the dainty screwdriver shown in the WSM.
The Ferrari F430 Scuderia was the successor to the 360 Challenge Stradale. Aimed to compete with cars like the Porsche 997 GT3 RS and the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera , it is lighter (by 100 kg (220 lb)) and more powerful (510 PS (375 kW; 503 hp) at 8,500 rpm and 471 Nâ
m (347 lbâ
ft) of torque at 5,250 rpm) than the standard F430 coupé .
Ferrari engineers have made most of that torque available in the lower RPM range giving the 458 an impressive 0-60mph time of only 3.3 seconds, while the top speed of this car is a blistering 210mph. A seven speed dual-clutch transmission is the only available choice for buyers, making this car the second ever to only offer âautomatic
The Ferrari F430 is one of the last Ferraris to be offered with three pedals. How many Ferrari F430 Spiders were made? Over 15,000 F430s were produced, and it is suspected that only 10 percent of them have a traditional manual transmission, making it a rare vehicle in the context of V-8 Ferraris, but the least rare car on this list.
Total production numbers are rough, however approximately 14,000 F430 and F430 Spiders were made, with a further production of ~2,000 Scuderias and 499 16Ms. The car boasts Ferrari's F136 E engine with variants used in the 458 Italia as well as in 4.2L & 4.7L applications for Maserati.
With the new solutions, the 458 Spider was lighter than its predecessor, the F430 Spider, by 25 kg (55 lbs). The engine was a naturally aspirated V8. It offered a 9.000 rpm red-line and its 4.5
The F430 is the newest of Ferrari's hot-selling mid-engined models, now packing 483 horsepower from a 4.3-liter V-8 and a sleek new shape from the artists at Pininfarina.
The 430 is so much sharper, more muscley, more modern, and the 360 looks like a 1990s frog. Yes, not even a modern frog. The driving experience is also night and day. 430 is a level jump over 360. To be fair, the 430 looks a bit like some new bits were just bolted onto the 360 body. The 360 design is a lot more cohesive.
